What do you think about Shay's description of a model? Shay and Tally have a skewed view of our time, but what have they got right? I think it is pretty close super skinny, defined face.
I think they don't know about being different weights besides just the right weight. They also don't know about any thing different besides what they are told and have seen. It is basically they all have the same body but different heads. The model has almost no fat but they think she is very boney body. They think that if your that skinny your ugly.

List the important events of the chapter in chronological order.
Tally wakes up to find she is caught in a fire.
She is rescued by the bug eyes.
She gets to ride on a helicopter, and Tonk tells her about the orchids.
He asks her if she is going to smoke, and she say yes, so he drops her of near the "bald head".
Respond to the following quote:"...Tally was stuck out here in the wild forever. Ugly for life. Her only way to betray her friend." She must either really want to be a pretty or want to be with Paris a lot to betray her friend. I might would it depends on who it is or what the chances are.

Give one example of these from the chapter: imagery, personification, and a simile. Imagery: "Billowing clouds of smoke surrounded her, blotting out the sky. A raggall of flame moved through the flowers, giving off a wave of blistering heat."
Simile:"Her footsteps ignited with flame as she ran through the blackened flowers, like stabbing a poker into a slumbering fire."
Personification: "The fire was growing stronger. Fingers of it shot up the hill, leaping from one beautiful flower to another, leaving them scorched and black."

Make a list of things you would miss about your home if you were forced to leave like Tally was.

In this chapter Tally says, "I kind of like being fooled about somethings." Do you agree with Tally, or would you rather know the reality behind everything? Why?
Response: Sometimes, most of the time I probably would, it depends on what the situation is. I would because i would better and safer and do more things than I do.
Find information about white water rafting and post it here, along with the website URL.
Response:It is interesting to note that whitewater rafting was one of the earliest forms of transportation. It was not only used for carrying people but also for transferring goods from one place to another. However, it became quite popular as a form of leisure activity in the 1980s.
In 1811, the first recorded attempt to navigate the Snake River in Wyoming was planned by the Overland Astorians. While attempting to boat the stretch below Jackson Hole, the river was found to be too treacherous and it came to be called ?Mad River.?
The rubber river raft is believed to have been invented in the early 1840s. It was first made by Lt. John Fremont, who was then serving in the U.S army and Horace H. Day. They invented the rubber raft with the intention of surveying the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains. Although the raft was invented in the mid-nineteenth century, it was not until the turn of the century that the first ever commercial whitewater trip was undertaken. At first, surplus military rafts were used as boats and it was only much later that inflatable rafts were used.

Descibe the Rusty Ruins. What are they? What happened during this time period?
This happened during our time period. It is old and rusty. This time period people were stupid and ugly.
Define peer pressure. Think of a time when it happened to you or some one you know and explain the situation in a paragraph.
One time I was in playing in a tournament with my team, Texas Seminoles. It was the bottom of the last innining and we had caught til we were one point behind. We had two outs, bases loaded, and I was up to bat. I had two strikes on me and I hit the ball to shortstop. After I hit the ball i ran as fast as could down to first. I touch first then the first baseman caught it, but the ump called me out. I was so mad. Everyone felt so bad for me and my teammates were a little mad but where more sad than mad. I felt bad because everyone was counting on me.

Reflect on the following quotes from the chapter, what does each mean to you?
"Making ourselves fell ugly is not fun"...
"This whole game is just designed to make us hate ourselves"
Response: Just because you are an ugly doesn't mean you can't do something. It is also not to a reason to hate yourself. It shouldn't keep you from doing anything.
"Everyone judged everyone else based on their appearance. People who were taller got better jobs...people would kill one another over stuff like having differentskin color." (reerring to when everyone was ugly)
Response: It is just not right. Just because someone is tall or someone is a certain color skin. Espicailly color that is called racism. People should judge people on the inside.
"It's the only way to make people equal." (becoming pretty)
Response: That is not correct , people equal is when people get along. Not everyone being a pretty, that is boring and is dum. people should have there own personal touch.

Write a one paragraph summary of the chapter. Tally goes to the pretties party and crashes it. Then to escape she goes to the roof and pushes the fire button so she can bungee jump down to safety and get away. Shay and Tally meet in the forest and they escape.
What have you learned about Shay? Make a prediction about what will happen between Tally and Shay. Shay is a ugly, outgoing, cool, and likes to explore. I think that Tally and Shay will become best friends.
